About
Eric Kennedy is a composer-performer in the Charlotte area. Eric is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he held principal positions in both the UNCC Wind Ensemble and Orchestra. Here, Eric studied clarinet under Dr. Jessica Lindsey, and composition under Dr. Jonah Elrod. In addition to the ensembles at UNCC, Eric has also performed with the Central Piedmont Community College Opera Theater, as well as a number of local churches.
Eric’s compositions are centered around telling stories through music. His style is heavily influenced by composers such as Johannes Brahms, Gustav Mahler, Joe Hisaishi, and Yuka Kitamura.
